The Opportunity

We're hiring a Marketing Production Support Lead to serve as the operational anchor for the CRM and Promotional Operations team at a high-growth consumer tech platform — a role that functions similarly to a Site Reliability Engineer for marketing, going far beyond traditional pre-launch QA to own live, in-flight campaign triage, incident command, root-cause analysis, and the technical depth to validate SQL audience logic, HTML/CSS code, and complex dynamic targeting strategies. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent on team leadership — managing a distributed team of 4+ QA specialists, running daily stand-ups, enforcing strict SLAs and accountability, and escalating decisively when standards are missed — and 50% on hands-on, advanced technical QA and production support for high-visibility, high-financial-impact campaigns across email, push, in-app, and promo code channels.


What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Team Leadership & Accountability: Manage daily operations and serve as the primary escalation point for a team of 4+ QA specialists; lead daily stand-ups to assess workloads, reallocate tickets, and manage expedited requests; enforce strict SLAs, task accountability, and end-of-shift status reporting — taking decisive management action when expectations are missed
  • Production Support & Incident Management: Monitor live production campaigns and act as incident commander for on-call triage and rapid resolution; conduct root-cause analyses on post-launch errors and communicate findings and remediation plans clearly to cross-functional partners and executive leadership; serve as the final gatekeeper for urgent, high-visibility, and C-suite-directed campaign requests to mitigate financial risk
  • Technical QA & Campaign Auditing: Audit, update, and schedule complex digital campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and promo code engines; use SQL to verify target audience sizes against promotional logic and validate that large-scale marketing budgets align with business guardrails; deep-dive into campaign assets to validate HTML/CSS code, copy accuracy, and advanced dynamic targeting strategies
  • Process Optimization & AI Enablement: Maintain and optimize comprehensive, multi-page QA checklists as new product features and marketing surfaces are added; analyze QA error trends to build targeted training documentation; leverage AI and automation tools to accelerate triage, RCA, and live-campaign monitoring — and champion AI adoption across the team by coaching members on integrating these tools into their daily workflows
  • Technical Guidance & Enablement: Provide strategic technical guidance to operators executing complex campaign architectures; identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive operational workflows to prevent recurring issues across the team


What You Bring

  • CRM Operations Experience: 3+ years in technical operations, production support, or advanced QA within CRM ecosystems; 3+ years of hands-on technical experience inside enterprise-level ESP/CRM platforms — Braze experience is highly preferred
  • People Management: 2+ years of formal or informal people management experience with a proven track record of enforcing accountability, managing performance, and holding a distributed team to high operational standards
  • Technical Stack: Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency (required for audience validation); working knowledge of HTML/CSS for campaign asset validation; strong Google Sheets or Excel skills for operational analysis and reporting
  • Financial & Risk Judgment: Direct experience auditing promotional budgets or managing campaigns with high monetary and financial impact — you understand the stakes and act as a reliable final gatekeeper under pressure
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable delivering clear, confident status updates to executive leadership and holding firm on quality standards with execution teams without flinching


Bonus Points if:

  • You have prior experience in the tech sector, high-growth startups, or supporting app-centric digital products
  • You are familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ticketing systems such as Jira or Asana
