The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Brand Management Assistant to join a high-volume e-commerce business managing a large product catalog on Shopify — in this role, you’ll own the day-to-day health of the product catalog, creating and optimizing listings, managing SKUs and metafields, and ensuring product data stays accurate, consistent, and SEO-friendly across the storefront. You’ll also support broader store operations, from troubleshooting fulfillment and listing issues with Shopify Support to executing bulk uploads, mass SKU imports, and ad hoc reporting, all while writing and maintaining the SOPs that keep catalog management running smoothly.


What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Listing Management: Create, manage, and optimize Shopify product listings, including uploading new products and product information
  • SKU & Catalog Maintenance: Perform SKU creation, updates, and ongoing maintenance across the product catalog
  • Content & Metafields: Update product descriptions, manage product metafields, and maintain optimized alt text for SEO and accessibility
  • Assets & QA: Upload and organize product images and assets, and conduct regular quality assurance checks for accuracy and consistency
  • Store Operations Support: Assist with fulfillment-related tasks and work with Shopify Support to troubleshoot listing, product, shipping, and catalog issues
  • Bulk Data Operations: Execute bulk product uploads and mass SKU imports while maintaining product data integrity across systems
  • Reporting: Generate ad hoc reports and dashboards, and assist with inventory-related updates and product data initiatives
  • General Support: Support ongoing store optimization initiatives and other tactical brand management and e-commerce tasks as needed


What You Bring

  • Shopify Experience: 2+ years managing a Shopify store, including brand management and product catalog/product data oversight
  • Spreadsheet Skills: Intermediate Google Sheets / Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and data validation
  • SOP Development: Experience writing, maintaining, and improving SOPs
  • Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and attention to detail when managing product information
  • Availability: Ability to work EST hours


Bonus Points if:

  • You have experience working with Shopify metafields and bulk product editing tools
  • You're familiar with Shopify SEO best practices, including alt text optimization
  • You have experience using Shopify apps for product management and catalog maintenance
  • You have experience with Microsoft Teams and Outlook for internal communications
  • You have experience working with large product catalogs and e-commerce operations
