The Opportunity
We’re hiring an SEO / AEO Strategist to join a fast-growing digital agency serving mid-market and enterprise B2B software and SaaS clients — architecting and driving high-impact organic growth strategies at the intersection of advanced technical SEO, Answer Engine Optimization, and executive-level client consulting. This is a senior individual contributor role with full ownership of the technical and visibility lifecycle: from log file analysis, Core Web Vitals remediation, and custom schema markup to engineering AEO frameworks for AI-driven search surfaces like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, and delivering revenue-tied performance narratives directly to client VPs, Directors, and C-suite stakeholders. This is not a content-only or basic on-page role — it’s built for a practitioner who operates at the frontier of search and executes with minimal oversight.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Technical SEO Ownership: Conduct exhaustive technical SEO audits — managing crawl budgets, resolving complex indexation controls, mapping redirect architectures, and independently diagnosing and providing engineering-ready remediation paths for Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and site-speed issues in direct partnership with client development teams.

AEO Framework Architecture: Engineer advanced Answer Engine Optimization strategies to capture organic visibility on AI-driven search surfaces including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other emerging platforms — future-proofing clients’ search presence as the landscape evolves.

Custom Schema Development: Hand-code, validate, and deploy advanced structured data and schema markup (JSON-LD) from scratch across enterprise sites — moving well beyond basic template configurations.

Content & Funnel Architecture: Construct keyword cluster networks (pillar-and-spoke) and execute competitive SERP mapping to capture high-intent B2B buyers across every stage of the sales funnel.

Executive Client Delivery: Lead high-stakes client kickoffs, strategy deep-dives, and monthly performance reviews with senior technology executives — translating complex technical data into clear, revenue-driving business narratives that strip the jargon for non-technical stakeholders.

Revenue Measurement: Build comprehensive measurement frameworks via GA4 and client CRMs to explicitly link organic visibility and keyword velocity to pipeline and revenue outcomes — keeping strategy anchored to the levers that move business, not vanity metrics.

Migration Strategy: Lead mitigation planning and oversight for large-scale, high-risk website migrations, ensuring clients maintain organic momentum throughout transitions.
What You Bring

Senior SEO Experience: 7+ years of proven SEO experience with verified depth in technical execution and multi-faceted search strategy — including extensive agency or consulting environment tenure managing 3+ concurrent client accounts.

B2B SaaS & Enterprise Track Record: A proven track record of moving the needle specifically for mid-market or enterprise B2B software and SaaS clients — not SMB or eCommerce-focused backgrounds.

Advanced Technical Depth: Deep expertise in crawl budget optimization, log file analysis, schema deployment, and managing complex JavaScript SEO and single-page application (SPA) rendering challenges — paired with expert-level mastery of Screaming Frog (including custom extraction and JS rendering), Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.

AEO & AI Search Fluency: Native familiarity with or strong conceptual command of emerging AI search visibility platforms and Answer Engine Optimization frameworks across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar surfaces.

Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills — able to write executive-quality audit roadmaps that make complex technical strategy accessible to VP, Director, and C-suite stakeholders without losing rigor.

Autonomy & Strategic Ownership: A senior practitioner mindset — able to build your own 90-day roadmaps, prioritize ruthlessly based on revenue impact, and execute with minimal oversight across multiple concurrent accounts.
