Who We Are

GrowthAssistant connects top marketing and operations talent with fast-growing companies that depend on great execution to scale. Founded in 2021 and named by Forbes as one of the best startups to work at, we’re a permanently remote team that runs on integrity, proactive candor, and a bias toward action — and we prioritize the human experience in everything we do. We hire for skill and for heart, and we invest in our people for the long haul.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Marketing Data Analyst to serve as the primary technical partner for marketing reporting at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company — owning the B2B Acquisition Marketing dashboard in Sigma, proactively QA-ing marketing and funnel data across dashboards and recurring reports, and partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering to identify and resolve discrepancies before they reach decision-makers. This role requires strong analytical judgment — the ability to distinguish between a true performance trend and a tracking, attribution, or data quality issue — combined with the communication discipline to translate technical findings into clear business impact, proposed resolutions, and expected timelines. You’ll be the person who catches data problems before stakeholders do, and who ensures the team always has reliable, decision-ready reporting on the required cadence.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Dashboard Ownership & Maintenance: Own and maintain the B2B Acquisition Marketing Sigma dashboard — including design, QA, versioning, and coordinating release timelines and requirements across marketing, data engineering, and leadership stakeholders; validate dashboard outputs following upstream data-model, pipeline, or metric-definition changes before they are relied upon for decision-making.
  • Proactive Data QA & Anomaly Detection: Proactively QA marketing and funnel data across dashboards and recurring reporting to identify discrepancies, anomalies, missing data, or unexpected changes — stress-testing data rather than waiting for stakeholders to surface issues; investigate root causes and drive resolution in partnership with Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering.
  • Visualization & Stakeholder Reporting: Build and maintain clear, stakeholder-ready visualizations that make marketing performance and trends easy to understand — serving as the go-to technical partner for marketing reporting and ensuring the team has reliable, decision-ready data on the required cadence.
  • Pipeline Triage & Communication: Triage data-freshness and pipeline delays for MQL, CW, SAL, and Spend metrics; communicate status and ETAs clearly to stakeholders; and escalate issues proactively after initial attempts to self-solve, with a clear summary of business impact, proposed resolution, DRI, and expected resolution date.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, data engineering, and analytics teams to diagnose attribution and data model issues — acting as the connective layer between technical systems and business decision-makers.

What You Bring

  • BI Dashboard Experience: Ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards in Sigma or a comparable BI tool — comfortable building clear visualizations that help stakeholders understand performance, trends, and potential issues at a glance.
  • SQL Proficiency: Ability to write or modify SQL queries in Mode, Snowflake, or comparable environments for data investigation, QA, and reporting support.
  • Data QA Rigor & Analytical Judgment: Strong data QA and validation instincts — proactively stress-testing data for discrepancies, anomalies, and missing data; strong analytical judgment to distinguish between a true performance trend and a tracking, attribution, pipeline, or data quality issue.
  • Spreadsheet Proficiency & Communication: Advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets functions and formulas; excellent written and verbal communication skills — including the ability to translate a concise data issue into its business impact, proposed resolution, responsible owner, and expected resolution date.
  • Reliability & Availability: Detail-oriented with strong QA discipline under time pressure; reliable task follow-through with proactive escalation of at-risk deadlines; available to work and attend meetings from 9 AM–6 PM PST.

Bonus Points if:

  • You have familiarity with marketing attribution models and lead lifecycle stages such as MQL, SAL, and CW.
  • You have experience working cross-functionally with technical partners or engineers on data projects.
  • You are comfortable writing or contributing to user-facing documentation such as FAQs and process docs.
