The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Senior Klaviyo Strategist (Email Marketing) to join a high-volume performance marketing agency serving a portfolio of DTC and eCommerce brands — owning email strategy end-to-end for 5–6 client accounts at a time, from intake and onboarding through platform migrations, IP warming, and ongoing campaign optimization. You’ll lead client calls, translate business goals into Klaviyo strategy, package recommendations into client-ready decks, and oversee the production workflow from segmentation to deployment; this is a senior, client-facing role that demands expert-level Klaviyo knowledge, a proactive ownership mindset, and the confidence to present strategy directly to clients and flag issues before they become problems.


What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Client Strategy Ownership: Own Klaviyo email strategy end-to-end for 5–6 client accounts simultaneously — leading intake and onboarding calls alongside the project manager, surfacing client pain points and goals, and translating them into a clear Klaviyo game plan packaged into a client-ready deck for review and sign-off.
  • Platform Migrations & IP Warming: Plan and execute Klaviyo platform migrations and IP/account warming programs (typically 45–60 day timelines) — defining campaign sequences, segments, and sending cadences to protect deliverability throughout.
  • Campaign Execution & QA: Build, test, QA, deploy, and monitor Klaviyo email and SMS campaigns — including batch sends, behaviorally triggered messages, and automated lifecycle journeys — managing the full production workflow from segmentation through deployment and ensuring links, rendering, tracking, and brand standards are correct.
  • Performance Reporting & Optimization: Own regular email performance reporting with historical comparisons and channel benchmarks; proactively flag trends at the campaign and journey level, surface actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders, and deliver weekly performance updates via email recap or client call.
  • Testing & Personalization: Set up and run A/B tests across campaigns and flows to continuously improve engagement and conversion metrics; configure dynamic content blocks and conditional logic to improve relevance and personalization across segments.
  • QA & Best Practices Oversight: Oversee email best practices and design QA — flagging issues such as image-only emails, missing editable text, or CTA problems — while collaborating with the creative team on execution and with developers on Shopify/Klaviyo integrations.
  • Client Presentations: Create client-ready slides and presentations, translating key metrics and learnings into simple charts and bullets for internal validation and client delivery.


What You Bring

  • Senior Email Marketing Experience: 4+ years of hands-on email marketing experience with proven agency background — building and owning strategies for multiple client accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expert-Level Klaviyo Knowledge: Deep platform expertise spanning campaign setup, journey building, segmentation, analytics, deliverability, IP/account warming, and platform migrations — technical enough to independently identify Klaviyo setup issues and collaborate with developers on Shopify integrations without relying on them for diagnosis.
  • Client-Facing Strategy Experience: Proven track record leading intake calls, presenting strategies to clients for sign-off, and managing client relationships across multiple accounts with clear, confident communication.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Strong command of key performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rate, deliverability) with demonstrated experience running A/B tests, reporting on impact, and using Excel and Google Sheets to produce clean, client-ready outputs.
  • Ownership Mindset & Communication: Highly proactive self-starter who owns work end-to-end, flags issues before they escalate, and communicates fluently in written and spoken English — comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-changing priorities in a growing team environment.
  • Availability & Flexibility: Available to work 9–5 EST with willingness to handle occasional time-sensitive updates outside normal hours when needed, with clear expectations set upfront.


Bonus Points if:

  • You have DTC or eCommerce-specific experience beyond agency work.
  • You have working knowledge of HTML/CSS for making light edits and resolving formatting issues in email templates.
  • You have experience extracting and migrating data from other ESPs (such as Listrak or Iterable) into Klaviyo.
  • You have 2+ years of hands-on Shopify experience.
