Who We Are

GrowthAssistant connects top marketing and operations talent with fast-growing companies that depend on great execution to scale. Founded in 2021 and named by Forbes as one of the best startups to work at, we're a permanently remote team that runs on integrity, proactive candor, and a bias toward action — and we prioritize the human experience in everything we do. We hire for skill and for heart, and we invest in our people for the long haul.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Creative Lead to own end-to-end creative strategy and execution across a portfolio of DTC clients at a fast-growing performance marketing agency specializing in direct response advertising — developing concepts, hooks, and scripts; designing brand-consistent static ads; tracking performance in Meta Ads Manager and Motion to fuel data-informed creative decisions; and collaborating closely with media buyers, the influencer team, and a video editor to run the full creative feedback loop. Starting with hands-on ownership of approximately five client accounts, you'll scale to strategic oversight across up to fifteen accounts — and as you grow into the role, you'll help build the agency's operational infrastructure, including process documentation, client-facing deck templates, and landing page recommendations informed by creative performance data.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Creative Strategy & Client Portfolio: Own day-to-day creative strategy and execution for approximately five clients, with lighter monthly check-ins across a broader account list of up to fifteen; ensure creative concepts and strategies meet individual brand objectives and visual identity standards.
  • Concepts, Hooks & Scripts: Develop new creative concepts, hooks, scripts, and testing angles by client; turn performance insights and current trends into actionable creative recommendations; design branded static ads and carousels for paid social following each brand's fonts and guidelines.
  • Performance Tracking & Analysis: Track creative performance in Meta Ads Manager and Motion (transitioning from Magic Brief); review hook and conversion scores; make data-informed creative decisions around focus angles, personas, and formats to continuously improve campaign results.
  • Creative Feedback Loop: Analyze which creators, hooks, and concepts are winning; feed learnings back to the influencer team and video editor for the next round of content; provide clear iteration direction to the video editor — winning hooks, new cuts, B-roll swaps — so tests can be turned around quickly.
  • Brief Collaboration & Research: Feed winning hooks, messaging, and B-roll requirements into the influencer team's creator briefs — collaborating and advising rather than owning briefs end to end; research industry trends, viral moments, and competitor ads via Motion to inform new concepts and test angles.
  • Taxonomy & Workflow: Help categorize and tag concepts, hooks, and creative learnings within the paid media naming conventions; collaborate with media buyers, account managers, and the influencer team with tasks and content workflow managed through Asana.
  • AI-Assisted Production: Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, design, and content repurposing — including Figma or Canva for ad and organic content mockups, Gemini and Veo 3 for video and image generation, and ChatGPT for copy.

What You Bring

  • Creative Leadership: 3+ years of experience as a Creative Lead, Creative Strategist, Creative Director, or similar performance creative role; proven experience developing high-converting creatives for paid campaigns across multiple brands simultaneously.
  • Brief & Content Fluency: Experience informing creative briefs with performance learnings (winning hooks, angles, formats); strong fluency in video, UGC, and influencer content — able to analyze video performance and identify winning hooks and concepts even when production sits with a dedicated video editor.
  • Performance Marketing: Proven experience in social media performance marketing; strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and transform insights into actionable strategies.
  • Design Capability: Graphic design capability for brand-consistent static paid ads; a keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and usability across all creative deliverables.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on superior written comms, presentation, and interpersonal ability; must understand and be able to communicate using the "languages of marketing."

Bonus Points if:

  • You have 1+ years of experience as a Creative Director, Creative Producer, or Creative Strategist in an e-commerce business or direct response marketing role
  • You have experience analyzing paid social creative performance data
  • You have a background in consumer research and insights
  • You're proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, or Figma (this role focuses on providing executable creative direction rather than building assets end to end)
  • You have experience with CPG health & wellness brands (supplements, skincare)
  • You have hands-on video editing skills for quick iterations (new hooks, B-roll swaps)
  • You're familiar with Motion, Magic Brief, or similar creative analytics tools, and Asana
