The Opportunity

GrowthAssistant is hiring a Design Assistant + Video to produce high-volume, high-converting ad creatives for leading U.S.-based D2C and eCommerce brands. This role is designed for experienced editors who understand that great ads aren't just "pretty"—they are engineered to sell. You will join a fast-paced team where data drives design, transforming raw footage into "scroll-stopping" content across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.


What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • End-to-End Ad Creation: Edit high-performing short-form video ads (15–60s) specifically for paid social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
  • Direct Response Execution: Apply DR fundamentals—strong hooks, narrative arcs, and clear CTAs—to every project to ensure maximum retention and conversion.
  • High-Volume Production: Efficiently manage a high-volume workload, creating multiple ad variations (hooks, formats, and aspect ratios) from a single footage set.
  • Footage Mastery: Audit raw footage and UGC to identify the most engaging moments, selecting appropriate B-roll to fill gaps and enhance the story.
  • AI Integration: Use tools like ElevenLabs for voiceovers and stay up to date on the latest creative tech (e.g., Arcads) to accelerate workflows.
  • Collaborative Iteration: Follow creative briefs closely to minimize revisions and participate in performance feedback loops to optimize future edits based on data.


What You Bring

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional video editing experience, specifically within a high-volume performance agency or DTC brand (e.g., TubeScience, Rickhouse).
  • Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Technical Precision: Expert at on-screen text overlays, captions, J-cuts, zooms, and basic sound design.
  • Autonomy & Speed: Proven ability to make strong editing decisions quickly and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio: A diverse portfolio featuring paid ads for DTC/Ecom brands (Note: creator/narrative-only portfolios will not be considered).
  • Reliability: A stable internet connection and the ability to work fixed U.S. business hours.
  • Schedule: U.S. Business Hours (PST/EST)


Bonus Points if:

  • You have completed formal Direct Response training (e.g., AdsRx) or equivalent internal agency training.
  • You have experience with After Effects for light motion graphics.
  • You understand Direct Response copywriting (benefit-first structures and urgency).
  • You have experience using performance data (ROAS, CTR) to inform editing choices.

  • Step 5 15-min Prep Call: We’ve got your back. Before the final round, your Recruiter will hop on a quick call to coach you, share insider tips, and ensure you’re 100% ready.
  • Step 6 Client Interview: You’ll meet the client to discuss how you’ll help them scale and succeed. Bring your metrics and be on your A-game - this is your last chance to make a great first impression!
