The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-impact Lead Provider Enrollment Specialist to serve as a "Player/Coach" for our provider operations team. In this pivotal role, you will balance hands-on enrollment execution with leading and developing a dedicated pod of GrowthAssistants.
You will be the bridge between complex insurance payer portals and seamless provider onboarding. We need a "Swiss Army Knife" operator who can navigate the ambiguity of a fast-growing startup, troubleshoot payer bottlenecks, and mentor a team to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. If you are an expert in healthcare operations with a servant-leadership mentality and a drive for process improvement, this is the role for you.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Hands-On Execution: Complete provider enrollments through payer portals, email workflows, and PDF applications; manage day-to-day status tracking and troubleshooting.

Team Leadership & Coaching: Act as the primary escalation point for your pod, providing real-time guidance, onboarding support, and ongoing training to newer team members.

Operational Oversight: Identify workflow gaps and recurring payer issues, flag SLA risks, and recommend process optimizations to leadership.

Payer & Provider Liaison: Handle inbound and outbound calls with insurance payers (Aetna, UHC, etc.) and provider offices to resolve complex enrollment scenarios.

System Management: Maintain and update provider profiles within Verifiable and other operational platforms; ensure all enrollment records are current and accurate.

Process Documentation: Create, follow, and improve SOPs; assist in documenting best practices and creating training materials for evolving workflows.

Reporting & Analysis: Support tracking of enrollment performance metrics and synthesize datasets to identify trends or anomalies.
What You Bring

Experience: 3+ years in healthcare administration, payer enrollment, or credentialing, with at least 2 years specifically focused on payer enrollment workflows and insurance portals (e.g., Availity).

Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Verifiable or similar platforms (Medallion, Echo, etc.), alongside intermediate Google Sheets and GSuite skills.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience mentoring, training, or leading team members in a fast-paced operational environment.

Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal English skills; comfortable making professional outbound calls to payers and internal stakeholders.

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and troubleshoot blockers independently.

Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Zendesk (or similar support platforms) and Slack for internal communication.

Logistics: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work consistently during CST hours (8 AM - 5 PM).
Bonus Points if:
- You have experience working in high-growth digital health or care delivery startups.
- You are familiar with platforms like Headway, Grow Therapy, or Spring Health.
- You have experience creating macros or automations within helpdesk systems.
- You have exposure to QA frameworks and KPI tracking in remote teams.
- You have experience with BI tools or advanced operational reporting.
Salary Range: $6.00 - $9.00/hour (Final offer based on skills and experience matched to role requirements)
