Who We Are
GrowthAssistant connects top marketing and operations talent with fast-growing companies that depend on great execution to scale. Founded in 2021 and named by Forbes as one of the best startups to work at, we’re a permanently remote team that runs on integrity, proactive candor, and a bias toward action — and we prioritize the human experience in everything we do. We hire for skill and for heart, and we invest in our people for the long haul.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist to help stand up and run the digital asset library for a large digital-first personal finance company with a high-volume in-house creative team. This is a build role, not a retrieval role — a new media library is being organized and migrated from the ground up, and you’ll shape the taxonomy, metadata standards, permissions, and workflows that roughly 80 stakeholders and 20–50 active projects will depend on. The work sits between creative and technical: you’ll sit with designers, art directors, and creative technology partners to learn how they actually search for and use assets, then turn that into structure the system can hold. Expect to own tagging conventions and access rules, keep versioning and library hygiene clean at volume, document the processes as they get invented, and make sure assets and metadata are shaped for the downstream workflows that consume them. A strong fit if you have a creative or design foundation, moved into asset operations, and can create order without waiting for a finished playbook.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
-
DAM Buildout & Administration: Support the buildout and ongoing administration of the digital asset management environment, including the organization and migration of a new, high-volume media library.
-
Taxonomy & Metadata: Establish and maintain asset taxonomy, metadata, tagging, naming conventions, categories, and other organizational structures in partnership with creative stakeholders.
-
Asset Ingestion: Upload, categorize, map, and maintain digital assets so content is accurate, searchable, accessible, and appropriately organized.
-
Permissions & Access: Configure and maintain asset permissions, access levels, collections, and usage rules across creative, marketing, production, and cross-functional teams.
-
Creative Partnership: Partner closely with designers, art directors, and creative technology stakeholders to understand how teams search for, access, and use assets, and translate those needs into the DAM structure.
-
Versioning & Library Hygiene: Support asset versioning and library hygiene, ensuring outdated, duplicate, or incorrectly categorized assets are appropriately managed.
-
Process Documentation: Help document and operationalize DAM processes and best practices as the new asset library and its associated workflows are built out.
-
Downstream Ecosystem: Support connections between the DAM and the broader creative technology ecosystem by ensuring assets, metadata, file formats, and outputs are organized appropriately for downstream workflows.
What You Bring
-
Hands-On DAM Experience: Extensive hands-on work inside a Digital Asset Management platform, with a strong understanding of how DAM systems are structured and administered.
-
Taxonomy & Permissions Depth: Demonstrated experience managing metadata, taxonomy, tagging, categorization, permissions and access, collections, and asset organization within a DAM environment.
-
Library Buildout Experience: Experience supporting the setup, migration, reorganization, or significant expansion of a digital asset library — not simply retrieving assets from an established system.
-
Creative Workflow Fluency: Strong understanding of creative assets and workflows including common file types, formats, versions, working files, and final deliverables, plus working knowledge of Figma and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or comparable professional creative tools.
-
Stakeholder Translation: Experience partnering directly with designers, art directors, creative teams, or similar stakeholders to understand asset needs and translate them into organized systems.
-
Volume & Ambiguity: Experience managing high volumes of assets with exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy, and the ability to work effectively where processes are being built collaboratively rather than handed over complete.
Bonus Points if:
- Direct experience with Acquia DAM / Widen
- Comparable enterprise DAM platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Bynder, Brandfolder, Canto, Aprimo, or Frontify
- Previous design, production design, creative operations, or creative technology experience
- Familiarity with video and motion-graphics workflows and tools such as After Effects or Cinema 4D
- Exposure to CMS, web publishing, or marketing platforms such as Payload, WordPress, or Braze
- Familiarity with AI-enabled creative workflows where DAM assets connect to templates or automation
- Understanding of how creative assets move across design, web, lifecycle, and performance marketing environments
