The Opportunity

We're hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a fast-scaling company managing a high volume of financial transactions across multiple departments — someone who brings precision and ownership to the full AR cycle, from recording and coding invoices to reconciling ledgers and resolving billing discrepancies. You'll be the operational backbone of the finance function, ensuring every payment is accurately posted, every account is properly reconciled, and every cross-departmental query is resolved without delay.


What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Invoice Management: Ensure all invoices are recorded and coded accurately and in accordance with financial policies and procedures
  • Payment Processing: Process incoming payments in full compliance with established financial policies, verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording all accounts receivable data
  • Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger on a regular basis to ensure all payments are fully accounted for and properly posted
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify billing and payment discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve issues with vendors in a timely and professional manner
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with all internal departments to resolve finance-related queries and issues quickly, ensuring nothing sits unresolved


What You Bring

  • Accounting Experience: 3+ years in an accounting or accounting support role; CPA designation is a plus
  • Finance Tool Proficiency: 1+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks and/or Bill.com, or a comparable accounting platform
  • Vendor & Client Communication: Proven experience managing outreach to clients and vendors via phone and email to gather key details, resolve discrepancies, and move issues to resolution
  • Spreadsheet Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Availability: Ability to work Eastern Standard Time hours to align with the core team


Bonus Points if:

  • You have experience with or navigational knowledge of NetSuite or a similar ERP platform
  • You're familiar with Slack and Gmail for day-to-day internal communications
