Who We Are
GrowthAssistant connects top marketing and operations talent with fast-growing companies that depend on great execution to scale. Founded in 2021 and named by Forbes as one of the best startups to work at, we're a permanently remote team that runs on integrity, proactive candor, and a bias toward action — and we prioritize the human experience in everything we do. We hire for skill and for heart, and we invest in our people for the long haul.
The Opportunity
We're hiring an E-Commerce Ops Specialist (Shopify) to own day-to-day Shopify execution and site QA for a growing DTC fragrance brand — you'll manage products, collections, and merchandising updates, support new launches, and keep a nuanced catalog spanning both online and in-store products accurate across desktop and mobile.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
-
Shopify Execution: Execute day-to-day Shopify updates across products, collections, landing pages, merchandising, navigation, promotions, imagery, and copy using existing themes, templates, and content blocks.
-
Launch Support: Support new product, campaign, and promotional launches by ensuring products are accurately set up, categorized, merchandised, searchable, and linked throughout the site.
-
Website QA: Own website QA before and after updates and launches, checking links, pricing, imagery, product visibility, promotions, and customer journeys across desktop and mobile.
-
Catalog Accuracy: Maintain accuracy across a nuanced Shopify catalog supporting both online and POS products, including products that must remain active in Shopify without appearing on the customer-facing storefront.
-
Checklist Management: Maintain launch and QA checklists and coordinate with internal teams to gather the assets, product information, and inputs needed to complete updates accurately and on time.
-
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot routine Shopify/site issues independently before escalating, and flag potential UX, merchandising, or customer-experience issues for review.
-
Reporting Support: Support basic e-commerce reporting by pulling and organizing data from Shopify and other existing reporting platforms.
What You Bring
-
Shopify Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify in an e-commerce operations, site management, merchandising, or similar role.
-
Storefront Management: Strong experience managing products, collections, content, promotions, navigation, and other day-to-day Shopify storefront updates.
-
QA Instincts: Strong QA instincts and attention to detail, with the ability to think through how individual changes affect the customer experience.
-
Merchandising Judgment: Good understanding of e-commerce customer journeys and online merchandising, and a resourceful problem solver comfortable troubleshooting routine issues before escalating.
-
Independent Execution: Ability to work independently within established processes and templates, retain training, and execute recurring work without requiring highly prescriptive direction.
-
Organization & Communication: Strong organization and ability to manage multiple requests, launches, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Bonus Points if:
- You have hands-on experience with Klaviyo, including building campaigns or updating existing flows from provided briefs, templates, and strategy.
- You have experience QAing Klaviyo campaigns or flows for links, targeting, exclusions, segmentation, and customer eligibility.
- You're familiar with GA4, Triple Whale, or similar e-commerce reporting tools.
- You have experience supporting Shopify environments with both online and POS operations.
- You're familiar with Shopify promotional or gift-with-purchase applications.
- You're familiar with AI tools such as Claude and comfortable working within AI-assisted e-commerce workflows.
- You have DTC/e-commerce brand experience.
