The Opportunity
We're hiring a Business Operations Assistant to join a venture-backed proptech/fintech platform that streamlines deposit processing, account verification, and bank-linking for renters — owning recurring operational workflows tied to customer account setup and deposit processing, triaging renter support requests and verification documents with speed and accuracy, and turning nuanced business rules into clear, evolving SOPs as the company scales.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Operational Workflow Management: Monitor and manage recurring operational workflows tied to customer account setup and deposit processing, including manual intervention tasks that require human oversight.

Customer & Renter Support: Support customer-facing questions on account setup, bank linking, and deposit status, and help triage and resolve renter support requests with speed, professionalism, and accuracy.

Verification & Exception Review: Review customer-submitted verification documents and follow internal workflows for approval or escalation, tracking edge cases and operational exceptions so nothing slips through the cracks.

Task Queue Management: Assist with daily and weekly operational task queues as transaction volume grows, and shadow internal team members during onboarding to learn nuanced workflows and business rules.

SOP Documentation: Document recurring workflows into clear SOPs and continuously update and improve them as internal processes evolve.

Process Improvement: Surface process inefficiencies and recommend ideas for simplification, helping maintain organized task tracking and follow-up across multiple short-cycle responsibilities.
What You Bring

Operations Experience: 2+ years of experience in operations, customer support, business operations, virtual assistance, or a similar execution-heavy role.

Communication: Excellent written English and professional communication skills.

Detail & Organization: Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational habits, comfortable handling repetitive but important workflows with high accuracy.

Multitasking: Able to manage many small tasks across the day without losing track of priorities, navigating new tools and unfamiliar workflows resourcefully.

Process Documentation: Strong comfort with process documentation and SOP creation, applying judgment within clear guidelines.

Discretion & Professionalism: High level of discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness when working with sensitive customer information, comfortable in a startup environment.
Bonus Points if:
- Experience supporting a fintech, proptech, financial services, banking, real estate, or compliance-related business
- Experience handling customer onboarding, KYC workflows, document verification, or operational review processes
- Familiarity with startup environments and fast-changing operational workflows
- Experience identifying workflow inefficiencies and helping improve internal processes
- Exposure to AI tools or workflow automation tools
- Experience working inside project management systems such as Linear, Notion, or similar tools
